Large Induction Motor

Our large AC induction motors extend up to 30,000 HP in a variety of enclosures including TEFC, TEAAC, TEWAC, ODP, WPI, WPII, etc., with both inverter duty and sine wave operation designs available. Pole counts range from 2 pole to 20+, for both 50 and 60 Hz operation in NEMA and IEC configurations. Custom engineered designs are suitable for use in every environment and/ or application from general purpose to harsh, severe-duty locations with API 541, API 547, & IEEE-841 compliance where needed.

Motors are also available for hazardous locations including explosion proof Division 1, Division 2, & ATEX.

Also available as part of the induction motor series is the ABB slip ring product platform. Available in powers up to 24,000 HP, in voltages 380-13.8kV, and frames 400 to 1120mm shaft height.
